Esteemed Scholar Prof. Liejin Guo Visits ProMO

Sydney, Australia - UNSW ProMO Group warmly welcomed Prof. Liejin Guo, a distinguished expert in energy and power engineering, for a significant visit and academic discussion.

Prof. Yansong Shen, the leader of the ProMO,  introduced Prof. Guo to the group and its labs. With Prof. Shen's guidance, Prof. Guo was able to explore the cutting-edge facilities and meet the group's talented researchers. About Prof. Liejin Guo: Graduating from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Prof. Guo's academic career spans decades of impactful contributions to his field. As the recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 1997, he has been the Director of the State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering since July 2002. He also served as the Dean of the School of Energy and Power Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University, leading the school to rank first in the national subject evaluation. Prof. Guo was inducted as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2017 and later, in 2021, elected as an academician of the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World. His research centers on multiphase flows in energy and power systems and hydrogen energy science and technology, which has resulted in systemic innovative achievements.
